An Xray examination will determine whether there is healthy bone securing the root of a tooth. Any old filling material will be dismantled – incipient cracking in the tooth doesn’t mean the end of the tooth. The tooth is then refilled with an adhesive filling material. The tooth will be tested to see if the root canal should be cleaned out and filled ( root filling) and then ideally the tooth will have ‘crown’ performed which is an indirect veneer covering the clinical crown of the tooth ( what you can see).
